Back to the Erie Canal

We took a couple of weeks off from our bicycle trip along the Erie Canal to spend time with friends and family. But we're headed back to Utica, NY to resume our trip today. We've completed about 270 miles of our 400 mile trip. We travel a lot faster than this horse drawn Packet Boat we rode in Rome, NY. But, 400 miles does take time, whether by pedal or horse. We're having a great time! Follow us on our other Blog at: http://eriecanaltrek2010.blogspot.com/

Target shooting in Northern NY

When we take time off from our current Erie Canal bicycling trek, we still enjoy our lives and our friends. In this case my buddy Chris is up from Florida to get a break from the oppressive heat. While it was pretty oppressive here by OUR standards, Chris was up for anything in the outdoors. Here he is seen out target shooting at an undisclosed location along the Hudson River. Only two Bud Light cans and a few bullseye targets were harmed during the making of this Blog entry. And a good time was had by all!
