NY State Outdoor Writers Association - New Website

The New York State Outdoor Writers Association, of which I am a member, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. The NYSOWA, now in its 45th year, is a professional organization of writers, editors, artists, photographers, broadcasters, telecasters, lecturers and others, as well as industry supporters of its goal to increase public awareness, understanding and appreciation of our outdoor heritage and the use and enjoyment of our natural resources. The primary purpose of the organization is to improve knowledge and skill among its members in the art of communication.

Hiking Vermont

We're expanding our Common Man Series of outdoor guides. This time into the great state of Vermont! Our upcoming title, 25 Short hikes and Interesting Walks in the Bennington-Manchester VT Region will be a nice addition to our line of outdoor guidebooks. Once again, the treks are relatively short so that the "average" man or woman can complete them. This new book should be out by April 1st. The photo is a view from Prospect Rock in Manchester VT.
